Please support our "God's work. Our hands." Service Project:
On Sunday, September 7, St. Mark’s will join with ELCA congregations all over the US in a day of service to our neighbors. Francis Stayton from Franny's Friend's will speak to us about the rescue.
This year’s project will be a month long (Sept 7. – Oct. 4) supplies drive and fundraiser in support of Franny's Friends Animal Rescue in Lumberton.
The culminates with the traditional Blessing of the Animals on October 4 in honor of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals. (see details below)
Supplies and financial donations may be dropped off Mon.-Fri. during normal office hours, 9A-1P, and Sundays between 11:30A-12:30P.
We will post a list soon of what supplies are needed.
Financial donations may also be made via Zeffy, link at bottom of page. On the Summary page, click the "Make this donation in honor or in memory of someone" button and enter: "For Franny's Friends".
The final event in our month-long service project in support of Franny's Friends, our local volunteer animal rescue.
You are invited to bring you pet(s) to receive a blessing, a collar tag, and a special treat for them and food for you!
“God’s Work. Our Hands.” Sunday began in 2013 in connection with the ELCA’s 25th anniversary. It continues to be an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the ELCA — one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor.
